Garage Door Tune-Up
You pulled the red cord to lift the door by hand during a power cut and it felt like lifting a car. The opener has been doing all the work and grumbling about it, and you are not sure how long that can go on.
Garage Door Tune-Up
When the bedroom sits above the garage, every rattle at six in the morning is personal. For households in Oro Station we track each sound to its source: dry rollers, a loose hinge, a chain that has stretched, an opener rail rubbing the ceiling. Fix those and the door becomes something you stop noticing. The same crew covers Guthrie.
Garage door services
Shops, warehouses and service bays in Oro Station have their own list: rolling steel doors, heavy sectional doors, industrial operators, safety edges and high-cycle springs. Alongside our residential work, we service and replace all of these and can set up a maintenance schedule that fits your operating hours.

Rollers, hinges, tracks, seals and the bottom rubber all wear at their own pace. We replace what is tired, adjust what has drifted, and leave the rest alone.

Springs
Replacing springs is precise work: measure the old spring, calculate the new one, wind to the correct turns, then confirm balance across the full travel. This group covers that and the cables that go with it.

Oro Station
Our technicians treat a door in Oro Station as a system: springs, cables, drums, rollers, tracks, opener and sensors all affecting each other. A repair that ignores the neighbouring parts fails early, so we check the lot, fix what is worn, and tell you honestly what is fine and can wait.

2021 census · what it means at the door
44%Homes of every age
About 44% of homes in Oro-Medonte were built in 1980 or earlier, according to the 2021 Census.
A mixed-age neighbourhood is where retrofits are most common: safety cables added to extension springs, a torsion conversion on an older door, insulated panels replacing a hollow door, or a quieter belt opener under a newly finished room above the garage. Each is a routine job for us.
97%Mostly houses
Single-detached houses make up about 97% of homes in Oro-Medonte (2021 Census).
Where most homes are single-detached, nearly every property has its own garage door and its own opener, and the homeowner makes every decision about it. That makes for straightforward visits: one door, one owner, and a repair or replacement chosen at the house without anyone else to consult.

Garage Door Tune-UpSalt carried in on tires and shovelled snow settles on the lowest hardware: the bottom brackets, the lower track, the bottom roller stems and fixture bolts. Those are the parts that carry the door's weight, so corrosion there matters. Rinsing the lower hardware and the inside face of the bottom section after winter, keeping the floor by the tracks swept, and having the bottom brackets looked at each spring keeps salt from becoming a structural problem.
Only if the existing one is damaged, and most are reused. A retainer that is straight, tight to the rail and free of heavy corrosion stays. One that has been kinked by a bumper or shovel, spread open so the seal slips out, or eaten by salt is replaced with a matching aluminum extrusion so the new seal seats properly. The inspection at the start of the visit settles which applies.
It closes one of their favourite routes. Mice enter at the open corners where the header and side seals meet and along a fin that has shrunk back from the door, so a continuous, overlapped seal removes those gaps. It works alongside a sound bottom seal, a swept threshold and attention to any other openings in the garage wall, and a technician will point out any of those noticed during the visit.
Often, yes. The cylinder in a T-handle is a small pin-tumbler lock, and if it shares a keyway with your house locks it can be pinned to the same combination. Where the keyways differ, a compatible cylinder can usually be fitted to the handle so the match is possible. Bring a house key to the visit and the technician will tell you on the spot.
The opener is disconnected and the door left closed. The technician inspects every hinge, roller and screw hole and explains what was found. Worn hinges are then changed one at a time with parts of the same number and gauge, tired holes are re-anchored, and rollers are renewed where needed. The door is run by hand to check the panels fold cleanly and the fit against the jambs, balance is tested, and the opener is reconnected and its safety reversal tested.
